A young man who helped survivors during a blaze at a casino in the Mexican city of Monterrey has now been offered a new job as firefighter. The 19 year-old was working as parking attendant when the fire broke out and decided to spontaneously help.
During the blaze 53 people died and many were injured. A man told during investigations that the casino had refused to pay extortion money and that’s why fire was set to the establishment. It was the single deadliest attack on civilians in Mexico’s long raging drug war.
